Welcome to the January 2009 Newsletter of TunesOnTheTube.tv!   We want to wish all our visitors a Happy New Year! Let’s hope it’s a prosperous year for us all and one that will bring sparkling TV from the networks, filled with lots of great music.

New shows that we have added in the last month are “How I Met Your Mother” and MTV’s “The City”. Check them out! We have also teamed up with TVShowDownloads, a company that provides access to past episodes of most of your favorite shows, so click on this link to take a look at what they have to offer.  Not only can you watch your favorite TV shows through this site, but you can also burn them to DVD, or put them right onto your MP3 player!  They also offer movies, music, videos, and games as well.

We have had the pleasure of receiving hundreds of e-mails from loyal readers of our site and we welcome all views on what shows we cover, what we can do better, and particularly details of any songs we’ve missed, so keep those comments coming please, to info@tunesonthetube.com and we promise to reply to every e-mail.

Featured Artist of the Month for January is Ray LaMontagne, whose songs have been featured in many different shows, such as “Without A Trace”, “True Blood”, “Bones”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and many others. Ray has a distinctive bluesy folksy voice, and has been mentioned by many an American Idol performer as an influence!  To learn more about Ray's music, click HERE.

So what will YOUR New Year’s resolution be? Personally I intend to lose the extra pounds I’ve put on over the holiday season. If you have a similar aim, check out one of our partner sites at www.Slim-Now.net.

The next show we're working on to add to www.TunesOnTheTube.tv is “Hannah Montana”, and for 2009 we aim to get our sister site www.TunesOnTheTube.co.uk up and running for our British visitors. One of the great mysteries to me is how some of the top singers and groups from Great Britain are almost unheard of over in the USA. Boyzone and lead singer Ronan Keating are massive stars just about anywhere else in the world except America! We plan to start a forum soon on the shows we cover, so we encourage you all to write to us with your views on your favorite shows – any gossip you've heard, any plot twists you like or hate, what you want to happen in future seasons, anything you like!
